Ecuadorian bananas suddenly went bad after the country decided to transfer some old weapons to Ukraine.

Russia has decided to impose “banana sanctions” against the Latin American state of Ecuador after the authorities of this country promised to transfer their old Russian-made weapons to Ukraine. The Moscow Times writes about this .

According to the publication, Rosselkhoznadzor has asked the Ecuadorian Ministry of Agriculture to suspend the certification of bananas from five Ecuadorian companies, starting on February 5. All allegedly because of a dangerous quarantine pest found in these fruits – the polyphagous humpback fly.

In particular, Russia no longer wants to buy bananas from the following companies: Agzulasa, Don Carlos Fruit, Agroaereo Fruit Export, Asociacion de Produccion Agropecuaria de el oro Asoproagroro, Comercializadora de Banano.

Ecuador wants to transfer old weapons to Ukraine

A “dangerous pest” was discovered in Ecuadorian bananas immediately after the Russian Foreign Ministry issued threats against this country. The reason for Moscow’s dissatisfaction was Ecuador’s decision to transfer old Russian-made equipment to the United States.

According to Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa, the country will give the United States “scrap metal” in exchange for new military equipment worth $200 million.

It should be noted that Ecuador is the largest banana exporter in the world. More than 20% of the country’s export earnings come from bananas. The country earns more only from oil – another 40% of exports.

  1. Doesn’t surprise me. Most other countries would be ashamed to put out such a sanction, indeed the Moskali are nuts.

  2. I doubt they will care, there is supposed to be a shortage of Bananas and the moskali monkeys can eat shit.
