Russia has no control of Ukrainian airspace - UK defense intel

Russia has failed to gain control of the Ukrainian airspace, meaning the relevant task set by Russian command has not been fulfilled.

That’s according to the latest British defense intelligence update on the situation in Ukraine as of March 19, 2022.

“Russia has failed to gain control of the air and is largely relying on stand-off weapons launched from the relative safety of Russian airspace to strike targets within Ukraine. Gaining control of the air was one of Russia’s principal objectives for the opening days of the conflict and their continued failure to do so has significantly blunted their operational progress,” the UK intelligence says.

The statement underlines that the Ukrainian Air Force and Air Defense Forces “are continuing to effectively defend Ukrainian airspace.”

The Ukrainian Air Force Command in its recent report said Russian invaders had reduced their military presence in the country’s airspace. Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian air defense systems downed three Russian helicopters.

  1. Awesome! Mafia land is a failure on all fronts. Why is the West still peeing its pants over this has-been power???

    • Unfortunately the cunts aren’t losing. Ukraine needs a shitload more help. I mean 1000% more. Because it appears that putler at least for now has no intention to negotiate anything that the Ukrainians can accept.
This means that Ukraine actually has to win this war, which is a big ask without huge help.

      • I wouldn’t say that mafia land is winning. Their losses are such that they are using civilian trucks to ship their supplies to the fronts and want to conscript 17 to 65 year-olds. This doesn’t look like a victorious army. Not at all.

      • If we look at this just mathematically, and I’m not a soldier but I understand numbers, you can see they started with about 200,000 and have taken nothing.
If you subtract 15,000 dead that would leave 175,000. Call it a 10% loss. If that were the case, where are they? They are not advancing because they do not have the strength and are holed up among women and children I think.
It seems likely there are many more than we think that simply went home and the rest are stuck with poor supply lines and only half their original equipment.
Without Kyiv, putin fails and there is no way he can take Kyiv if he can’t even take Mariupol or Kharkiv.

  2. Russia doesn’t have control but why can’t we get the bastards as they fly over the Black Sea. Why do we need to wait. I’m not a military guy but I don’t hear much about us bringing this fight to the scum bag’s back yard.
