The Russian ruler arrived in Baku on a visit and met with the head of state Ilham Aliyev.

Russia is facing a crisis in the “Ukrainian direction”, but is ready to participate in resolving the security situation in the South Caucasus. This was stated by Russian leader Vladimir Putin during a meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Baku , Azertaj reports .

“It is clear, and everyone knows that Russia is also facing crises, including and above all in the Ukrainian direction, but Russia’s historical involvement in the situation in the South Caucasus over the past few years dictates the need for us to participate in these events, of course, to the extent that this is required by the parties,” Putin said.

He also noted that Russia is striving to resolve the situation in this region.

“If the Russian Federation can do something to sign a peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia, bring the matter to the delimitation, demarcation of borders, unblock, as we have discussed many times, the relevant areas of logistics or economics, we would be very happy about this,” the Russian dictator concluded.

You didn’t participate too much when Armenia were calling when Azerbaijan reclaimed territory. You are no ally and the CSTO is nothing more than a collection of countries that won’t lift a finger to help each other.
