The Russian invaders began to hand over to Ukraine the bodies of the soldiers who died heroically defending Mariupol at the Azovstal plant.

Former commander of the Azov regiment Maxim Zhorin said that dozens of bodies recovered from the rubble of Azovstal in Mariupol, which is now under the control of Russian occupiers, were delivered to Kyiv.

He noted that they plan to conduct a DNA test to identify the remains. How many dead bodies remained at the plant is unknown.
