Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that due to its ongoing war against Ukraine, Russia has been forced to withdraw a significant portion of its military contingent from Transnistria.
Zelensky told this to journalists at the Munich Security Conference on Saturday, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.
He said that Russia’s military presence in the breakaway region of Moldova had significantly decreased.

“You know that part of Moldova is under separatist control — or rather, under Russian control in some capacity. As of today, we estimate that around 2,500 troops remain there. But to be honest, I believe the actual number of Russian personnel is closer to 1,000–1,500. During the war, they withdrew several thousand,” Zelensky said.
He added that before the war, the Russian military presence in Transnistria was estimated at around 5,500-6,000 troops.
“Now, far fewer remain. Their primary task is guarding weapons depots,” Zelensky said.

Just how did they get out of Transnistria?
I suppose Moldova allows travel venues for the roaches? I think we can deduct Ukraine from this idea.
This means those weapons warehouses are lightly guarded. Just a thought. 😁
In one day, Ukraine could be in charge of those depots, if it wanted.

Even with many times more roaches there, it would be easy to get at those weapons and ammo.
