Russia carried out the most massive attack on Kyiv in a year: dozens of UAVs were sent to the capital, – KGVA

Last night, Russian occupation forces launched one of the most massive attacks on Ukraine with attack drones in the entire war. The invaders’ target was Kyiv.

The Kyiv Military-Bulletin Service noted that the enemy sent dozens of drones to the capital. This is the seventh drone attack on the city in July. It was the most massive for Kyiv in 2024 in terms of the number of drones.

“The air raid alarm lasted for more than 7 hours. Enemy drones approached Kyiv in waves and from almost all possible directions. Air defense forces and means destroyed more than three dozen drones in Kyiv’s airspace and on the approaches,” the administration said.

Early in the morning, the enemy again sent several drones to the city.

Massive attacks on Kyiv

The last large-scale attack on the capital took place on July 8. The children’s hospital “Okhmatdet”, the maternity hospital and other civilian facilities came under enemy fire.

The attack on the capital killed 33 people, including 5 children. Another 121 people were injured, including 10 children aged 2 to 17.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reacted emotionally to the information about the attack . He admitted that at such moments he wants to kill Russian ruler Vladimir Putin.

Ukraine’s chief prosecutor Andriy Kostin has called on the International Criminal Court (ICC) to open a case against Russia over the missile strike on the Okhmatdet children’s hospital.
