The Russian army struck Kharkiv with guided bombs , setting warehouses on fire and damaging residential buildings. Five people were killed and dozens were injured, according to Kharkiv Mayor Igor Terekhov.

According to him, Kharkiv was attacked by at least three guided bombs. The hits were recorded in the Slobodsky district.

“As a result of the strikes, warehouses are on fire and residential buildings are damaged,” Terekhov said.

He noted that there may be people trapped under the rubble of the residential building that was hit by shelling. The search and rescue operation is ongoing.

He later added that three people were killed and 25 others were injured in the attack.

Terekhov later announced that the number of casualties had increased to 29, including three children. One of the injured was a janitor. 

Meanwhile, the Kharkiv OVA reports 39 casualties.

Updated at 5:57 PM . Terekhov reported that the death toll from the strike on Kharkiv has risen to five. The bodies of two more victims were found under the rubble of a sewing workshop.

Enemy attacks on Kharkov

On October 2, Russian occupiers dropped guided bombs on Kharkiv, completely destroying a residential building. The attack killed two people and injured nearly 30.

On September 28, Russians also launched a guided bomb attack on Kharkiv, hitting a high-rise building. More than 20 people were injured, including many children.
