Russia blocking transit of humanitarian aid to Ukraine for over a week

The Russian authorities for more than a week have been blocking the transit through their territory of humanitarian convoys with medical supplies necessary to combat Covid-19 in Ukraine.

“The United Nations, [U.S. President] Donald Trump, the Department of State should be aware that for more than a week now Russia blocks transit through its territory of humanitarian convoys with medical goods directed to Ukraine for fighting COVID-2019,” Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Yehor Bozhok wrote on Twitter.

Bozhok emphasized that “this is the real face of Putin and the Kremlin regime.”

Earlier, the U.S. Department of State said that the U.S. paid for the supply of Russian medical supplies and personal protection equipment to the country, but Moscow called it “humanitarian aid.”

  1. Where are they blocking them from? It’s not China, and if they were coming from Georgia or Azerbaijan, they don’t need to touch Russian airspace.

    • They are trucks. Trucks can’t fly. I would assume they are comming from Kazakhstan or China. Then they need to cross the southern part of Muscovy.

      • If that’s the case, Ukraine should send a plane to Kazakhstan, or China. It’s not a though they don’t have any to spare.
