The Civil Registry Office of the Rostov Region (RF) banned laughing during the wedding ceremony.

The corresponding  resolution was published on the regional portal of legal information.

It is noted that “loud conversations”, including on the phone, as well as “shouts” and “laughter” are prohibited at the marriage ceremony in the premises of the registry office.

The changes also affected the appearance of the guests. People in outerwear, dirty shoes, with bulky backpacks, bags, packages will not be allowed to the marriage ceremony.

In addition, during the ceremony, you can not move around the hall, eat, smoke, drink alcohol, rearrange furniture or decor items.

According to Komsomolskaya Pravda , the head of the registry office of the Rostov region, Olga Isaenko, assured that these bans were in effect “always”.

“Yes, marriage is a joyful moment, but there is no need to substitute concepts. Smiling is permissible, but there is nothing funny about the ceremony – this is a solemn, trembling moment. I don’t know a single solemn ceremony where one could laugh,” said Isaenko .

Earlier it was reported that a  monument to Alenka was demolished in Voronezh, which scared the locals . And  in Moscow they installed a sculpture in the form of a large pile of “art” .

  1. This reminds me of a story my wife tells me, about when she was a kid in the USSR. Her teacher told her off for laughing in class, she said “life is to serious to be laughing”
