Russia attacks Ukraine with missiles: explosions thundered in several cities

There are several dozen missiles in the airspace of Ukraine.

On the morning of November 17, Russia launched a massive missile attack on the territory of Ukraine. According to monitoring channels, 45 missiles were simultaneously in the airspace of our country.

According to the Air Force, missile launches from strategic bombers began at 05:42. Subsequently, the Russian Federation launched Caliber, there was a ballistic threat from Crimea.

The rockets were headed for Kyiv, Kropyvnytskyi, Kryvyi Rih, Odesa, Mykolaiv Oblast, Zhytomyr Oblast, Khmelnytskyi, Chernihiv Oblast, Poltava Oblast and Vinnytsia. Some of them changed course in the air.

There was also a ballistic threat from Voronezh (Russian Federation). The network reported that explosions were heard in Odesa, Dnipro and Kryvyi Rih. The missile attack continues.

Updated at 7:18 a.m. Russia launched Kinzhal hypersonic missiles. A series of explosions rang out in Kyiv. The mayor of the capital Vitaliy Klitschko said that air defense forces are working in the Obolon district.

Instead, the Air Force announced the movement of missiles over a number of areas. According to monitoring channels, rockets are flying towards the western regions, in particular Ternopil region and Lviv region. Six planes of strategic bombers are in the air.

The mayor of Odesa, Gennadiy Trukhanov , said that due to the attack of the occupiers, the electricity supply has disappeared in some areas of the city. According to local sources, the city also has a problem with water supply.

Updated at 7:32 a.m. According to the monitors, Russia is attacking energy infrastructure facilities. Explosions thundered in Vinnytsia and Khmelnytskyi region. In a number of oblasts, air defense forces operate. There is a threat to a number of cities.

Meanwhile, DTEK announces an emergency power outage:

According to Minister Herman Galushchenko, the operator of the transmission system urgently introduced a regime of emergency power cuts.

Meanwhile, the Air Defense Forces is working in Lviv Oblast. An immediate threat to Starokostyantynov, Yaremche, Bukovel, Shepetivka and Lutsk. The missile attack continues. The missiles are still in the air.

Updated at 8:01 am. Russia attacks western regions with missiles. A group of missiles in Volyn and headed for Rivne. Air defense is currently working on targets. In addition, repeated launches of “Daggers” from Tambov to Kyiv were recorded.

Updated at 8:05 am. As a result of the attack of the occupiers, three districts of Kyiv were damaged. According to Mayor Vitaly Klychko, a fragment of an enemy missile fell near the Silpo supermarket in the Holosiivskyi district. Previously, there were no damages or injuries.

In the Desnyan district, debris from a previously unmanned aerial vehicle fell in an open area. And also – UAV wreckage fell on the roof of the unfinished building. In the Dnipro district, in Rusanivka, the wreckage of the UAV fell on the green zone of the park and, probably, in the reservoir. So far, there are no casualties or damage.

There are also reports of explosions in Transcarpathia. Footage of an enemy missile flying over the resort of Bukovel appeared online.

Updated at 8:18 am. As reported by Lviv OVA, garages and a car caught fire in the Chervonograd (Sheptytskyi) district as a result of the fall of fragments of an enemy rocket. Firefighters are working on the spot.

Updated at 8:38 am. A group of “shaheeds” entered the airspace of Ukraine. Drones are moving on the border of Kyiv and Zhytomyr regions, changing course.

Volyn OVA reported the hit during the air alert. The energy infrastructure was damaged. According to preliminary information, there were no victims or injured.

Updated at 8:48 am. In Vinnytsia region, critical infrastructure objects have been hit. Previously, there were no injured. There is a power outage. All services have gone to the places and will start liquidating the consequences immediately after the alarm is sounded, said the deputy head of the OVA Natalya Zabolotna.

Updated at 9:23 a.m. In the morning, the enemy attacked the Dnipro. So far, one injured person is known. A 42-year-old man received shrapnel injuries. He is being provided with all the necessary assistance, said the head of OVA, Serhiy Lysak.

High-rise buildings, an educational institution, a car were damaged. It was also loud in Kryvorizhzhia, in the Samarivsky district and in Kamiansky. There were several fires. The consequences of enemy shelling are being clarified.

Updated at 9:29 am. Ivan Fedorov, the head of the Zaporizhzhia OVA, noted that the Russians struck 3 times in Zaporizhzhia.

As in the entire territory of Ukraine, the critical infrastructure of the region was targeted. According to detailed information, two people were injured due to an enemy attack on Zaporozhye. A 59-year-old man is in the hospital. Doctors provide all necessary assistance. The 18-year-old refused hospitalization after being examined by doctors.

Updated at 9:40 am. The enemy hit an infrastructure facility in Kryvyi Rih with a rocket. The destruction is great, but there are no victims. There is damage in the residential sector and two schools, Oleksandr Vilkul said .

According to him, there were emergency shutdowns of boiler houses, pumping stations and several powerful water hammers on the water and heat supply networks. Subsequently, Ukrenergo applied emergency shutdowns.

“Hospitals switched to generators. There was water leakage, many pumping stations switched to generators, now the pressure in the pipes is being pressurized. Boiler stations – reconnection. Where there are no high-voltage ones – they switched to generators. The consequences could have been much worse. Thank you for the work of our Air Defense Forces.” – noted Vilkul.

Updated at 10:46 am. As noted in the Poltava OVA, the glass of six high-rise buildings in the Kremenchuk district was damaged by rocket fragments, and 5 cars caught fire. Firefighters have already extinguished the fire.

Unfortunately, there are victims. A person who suffered injuries as a result of shelling was taken to the hospital in a serious condition.
