Loud explosions were heard in Kyiv on Monday evening, August 5. The military warned of a threat of a strike.
At 22:59, the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on its Telegram channel about a high-speed target in the direction of the Kyiv region; Kyiv residents were called upon to immediately take shelter.
Already at 23:07 the military again warned about high-speed targets in the Kyiv and Poltava regions. Soon the capital’s residents heard explosions.

Soon the residents of the capital heard a new series of explosions. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that the city had air defense. “Stay in shelters,” he urged.
