Damage to data centers and backbone networks has already led to service disruptions for a number of providers in the capital.

Russia continues to target data centers belonging to Moscow-based providers. Moscow is once again attempting to leave Ukrainians without communications and internet, according to reports from several companies.

MiroHost founder and head of Internet Invest, Alexander Olshansky, announced that the data center housing MiroHost’s resources had been destroyed. There is no timeline for restoration yet. He added that approximately 95% of MiroHost’s clients operate outside of Ukraine, and services for them continue to operate as usual.

In turn, the capital’s provider  “Domonet” promised customers to restore stable internet service by 9:00 PM on September 24.

“As a result of the shelling, several of our main transmission platforms were disabled, and a significant amount of main cable was damaged,” the statement said.

The company later reported damage to its switching equipment as a result of another Russian attack.

Another operator , Faust/Fast.net , also reported a loss of service in Kyiv following a strike in the Solomyansky district of the capital. They stated that six Ukrainian internet and hosting providers had been severely damaged over the past two days. These included UTELS, Pavutina, Etherlink, Crazy Network, Cityhost, and MiroHost.

Additionally, one of the data centers of another Kyiv-based company, Kievnet, was also hit by shelling. As a result, subscribers in the city center may temporarily be without internet service.

Internet provider  Dnepronet in Kamenskoye also warned of possible internet outages due to damage to one of Kyiv’s data centers, which houses the node equipment of several major internet providers.
