The Russian occupation army launched a drone strike on Ukrainian cities on the night of April 10, causing fires in Kyiv and Mykolaiv, injuries, and destruction.
Updated . According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russia launched 145 Shahed strike UAVs and simulator drones of various types. As of 09:00, it was confirmed that 85 Shahed strike UAVs (drones of other types) were shot down in the north, south, east and center of the country.
“49 enemy drone simulators were lost in location (without negative consequences). Donetsk, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Khmelnytskyi, Poltava and Mykolaiv regions were affected by the Russian attack,” the report says.
According to the Kyiv City Military Administration, the air alert on the evening of April 9 and the night of April 10 lasted for more than 2 hours (from 23:34 to 01:37) due to an attack by UAVs of the occupiers, and from 07:01 to 07:26 – due to the threat of the use of ballistic weapons.
During the night drone attack on the outskirts of Kyiv and in the airspace of the capital, 30 enemy UAVs were detected, of which 16 were destroyed, the rest were lost or left the airspace.
As a result of the attack and falling debris in the Holosiivskyi district of the city, a fire broke out in a warehouse, and in the Darnytskyi district, a private house was destroyed, and the windows of nearby houses and cars were damaged.
“According to available information, two women were injured. They were provided with medical assistance, without hospitalization,” the report says.
As reported by the head of the Mykolaiv OVA Vitaly Kim, at night at about 02:45 the enemy attacked the regional center of the Shahed 131/136 type UAV. As a result of falling debris and the action of the blast wave, nine apartment buildings, three cars, 30 garages and an administrative building were damaged. In addition, fires broke out in the apartment and on the territory of the garage cooperative.

According to the regional headquarters of the State Emergency Service, the residential sector and garage cooperative were damaged at one of the addresses – due to the fall of UAV debris into the courtyard of a five-story building, a fire broke out in an apartment on the first floor. The area of the fire was 20 sq. m., other apartments were damaged, and doors and windows in the premises were broken out by the blast wave.
“Rescuers, using special tools, opened the apartment where a woman with limited mobility was. Volunteers of the Rapid Response Unit of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society provided her with first aid and transported her to close relatives,” the regional department of the State Emergency Service said.
At other addresses, firefighters also extinguished fires – two cars with an area of 12 sq. m, as well as a garage -15 sq. m. Other garages suffered significant damage.
Elsewhere, the blast damaged the front door of a private residential building, trapping a mother and three children inside. Emergency services freed the family.
In total, 10 people were injured in the night attack, three of whom were taken to city hospitals with various types of injuries.

Assistance to citizens was provided by psychologists of the State Emergency Service, and an emergency psychological assistance point was deployed.
47 rescuers and 9 units of State Emergency Service equipment were involved in the elimination of the consequences.
Mayor Oleksandr Senkevych clarified that in the Zavodsky district of Mykolaiv, there were recorded flights that resulted in fires. In total, 9 apartment buildings, 3 cars, about 30 garages and one administrative building were damaged.
“Unfortunately, 10 people were injured – two are currently in the hospital, the others received outpatient care,” Sienkiewicz said.

Private houses, high-rise buildings and cars were damaged, several enterprises were destroyed, an administrative building and infrastructure were damaged. Criminal proceedings have been initiated.
