Russia Attacked Odessa Port with Ballistics: Sailors of Foreign Vessel Killed (Photo)

This evening, the Russian invading army launched a ballistic attack on the Odessa sea trade port . As a result of the shelling, four crew members of a foreign vessel were killed.

As reported by a UNIAN correspondent, an air raid alarm was declared in Odessa at around 20:15, and a few minutes later a powerful explosion thundered in the city. The Ukrainian Air Force Command wrote that the Russians launched a ballistic missile at the city.

Subsequently, the Administration of Sea Ports of Ukraine reported that the Odessa seaport was hit by a missile strike. The ballistic missile hit the corner of the berth wall:

“According to preliminary information, four crew members of the MJ Pinar were killed, and another sailor was injured. An employee of the pilot company who was on board was also injured.”

It is noted that the MJ Pinar vessel was loading wheat for export at the time of the strike. As a result of the attack, numerous infrastructure damages were recorded in the port area – the pier, the terminal’s grain gallery, etc. Emergency services are currently working at the scene.

Social media reports say it was a dry cargo ship flying the flag of Barbados, with 12 crew members on board. Three Syrians and a Ukrainian were preliminarily killed.
