Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has acknowledged that Russia has suffered “significant losses of troops” during its military operation in Ukraine.
Peskov said: “Yes, we have significant losses of troops and it is a huge tragedy for us.”
Speaking in an exclusive interview with British broadcaster Sky on Thursday, Peskov also hinted that the operation might be over “in the foreseeable future.” He said that Russian forces were “doing their best to bring an end to that operation.”
He said: “And we do hope that in coming days, in the foreseeable future, this operation will reach its goals, or we’ll finish it by the negotiations between Russian and Ukrainian delegation.”

Should Ukraine get the weapons they need then there will be no negotiations until the scum are totally destroyed. Hopefully the whole of Donbas and Crimea will be cleansed of the filth, but all that depends on the West supplying Ukraine with enough weapons.
Encouraging. The beginning of the end of this horror?
We can only hope and pray.
Sometimes it’s good to reflect on being wrong in the past. I got Zelensky wrong. I didn’t rate him.
Now my hope is for Zel to speak in the Houses of Parliament and the House of Lords and go to Buckingham Palace to receive a knighthood. Because he is the greatest man who ever lived since the great Sir Winston Churchill.
In some ways he is even greater than Churchill. Winston had an army of 3 million men, a huge navy and a large Air Force.
Zel has none of those things.
Reading between the lines, Russia have took an even bigger hit than they are letting on. Their band of thieves, rapists and murderers are no match for a well disciplined army. NATO must be totally embarrassed watching how Ukraine are destroying the Russians, and how their main goal of capturing Kyiv was killed off ending their dreams of ruling over Ukraine.
Agree 100%.
But no room for complacency. A verminous nazi dictator like this might not have given up. Even now he and his fellow scum could be plotting more and more horrible things, including maybe another assault on Kyiv. This cannot be allowed to happen. All of free Ukraine must now be massively fortified so as to make it impregnable. I would plead for the insertion of ground forces from the Budapest signatories at this point; leaving the Ukrainians free to take care of business in the Donbas.
That would be good, but I’m not convinced the spineless Biden is going to do anything more than give Ukraine portable weapons, instead of really destructive weapons. Also I hope the West have not forgotten the part played by Belarus in all of this genocide, they need to be treated the same as Russia.
Yes, Biden is a lost cause.
Maybe the new Trilateral group could say to putler : “we are sending in peacekeepers to protect free Ukraine. They are under orders not to engage with your invaders unless they engage with us.”
“We will also be enforcing a NFZ in those areas.”
Related topic: this is the Hannity interview with Sean Penn (not the Anderson Cooper one). I had no affinity with this guy before, but I take my hat off to him for his warm and emotional response to Ukraine’s terrible plight and his very sound suggestions about how Ukraine’s Air Force can be funded:
Russian quotes.

“Ëverything is going to plan”
Personally I won’t be happy until Putin is dead and the Moskali are off the UNSC.
Mafia land cannot win. Ukraine will definitely win.
