Russia accused Ukraine of allegedly “violating rights of Crimeans” by blocking freshwater supplies to Crimea and temporarily closing checkpoints at the administartive border between Crimea and mainland of Ukraine.
“In words, being an advocate of the rights of Crimeans, in practice, Kiev violates their rights, including those to water and freedom of movement, by ongoing water blockage and closing the checkpoints on the border between Crimea and Ukraine,” Mission of Russia to UN Office in Geneva wrote on Twitter.
Previously, Ukraine provided up to 85% needs of Crimea for freshwater through North Crimean Canal, which united the main bed of Dnipro with the peninsula. After the annexation of Crimea by Russia in 2014, the supplies of water were stopped.
As reported, the Ukrainian government on August 9 decided to temporarily suspend the operation of checkpoints of entry into and exit from the occupied Crimea and the city of Sevastopol until August 30. Ukrainian Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Oleh Nemchinov said that the decision is aimed at preventing the spread of COVID-19.

What are these rights that Ukraine are violating? According to the dwarf, these Crimeans voted to join Russia, and become Russians, with that comes the consequences.

I think this current government would turn the taps on to Crimea in a flash, if they thought they vould get away with it. Every now and then they keep bringing it up to test the reaction. If Zelensky did this, I doubt he would last too long as president.
And apparently nobody told this UN Mission ruSSo-turd that Ukraine is a sovereign state and Moskovia is responsible for the status of the land they invaded and temporarily occupy.
