Roskomnadzor has blocked the site Genius.com in Russia, which specializes in publishing song lyrics. This was reported in the unofficial community of fans of the site in “VKontakte”.

According  to the Roskomsvoboda project, on July 26, several dozen pages of the Genuis.com portal were added to the register of banned sites at once, which contain the lyrics of songs previously recognized by the courts as extremist or containing calls for suicide. The decisions have been made by different courts at different times over the past several years.

On the website of Roskomnadzor itself, there is no information on entering Genius.com into the register of prohibited ones yet.

Genius is one of the largest lyric sites in the world. In addition to the texts themselves, the site contains interpretations of individual fragments of the compositions, added by users.
