ROMAN SHEREMETA : The Bill

April 21, 2024

Details of the bill passed by the US Congress. Most of the money is for defense. Next week, the Senate will vote on it and then the President will sign. According to Pentagon, the first aid will arrive on the battlefield in less than a week after President’s signature.

On behalf of millions of Ukrainians, I want to thank the US Congress and every American who has supported Ukraine in these trying and historic times! Today’s bipartisan vote showed the world how America can work together when it matters the most.

…….

The forced mass exodus of Ukrainian citizens abroad following the russian aggression has had a significant impact on the interest of foreigners in learning the Ukrainian language. Within a few months, the language has become one of the most popular European languages, leading to a considerable increase in its global rating.

We are proud to announce that Ukrainian American House in partnership with Dave Reisman, the author of the Cows Can’t series of children’s picture books has distributed 2,100 bilingual books to Ukrainian schools throughout the US. Vibrantly illustrated, Cows Can’t Jump will help young readers to learn diverse and dynamic words in both languages – English and Ukrainian, while absorbing a subtle yet powerful message that builds self-esteem and teaches respect and humility.

The significance of learning the Ukrainian language goes beyond just a trend. It is a reflection of the desire to embrace and carry forward Ukrainian culture and values. By learning the language, individuals can gain a deeper understanding of the country’s rich heritage, traditions, and customs. Furthermore, it represents a means of self-identification as a Ukrainian, and an opportunity to connect with the vibrant Ukrainian community both within the country and abroad.

We would like to express our utmost gratitude to Dave Reisman for his generous donation and invaluable contribution to the preservation of language as a fundamental tool of self-identification from a young age.

Please, continue to stand with Ukraine and support UA House by donating at:

Meanwhile, anyone speaking russian in Europe receive the same kind of response as when you tread in dog shit. This is another master stroke by the dwarf, single-handedly he made russian the most despised language in the world.
