As a result of Russian missile strikes on critical infrastructure, hourly power outages are introduced in Kiev and the region.

It is reported by DTEK.

Lights will be turned off three times a day:

In some areas, the lights will be turned off from 6:00 to 10:00; from 14:00 to 18:00; from 22:00 to 02:00. In others – from 10:00 to 14:00; from 18:00 to 22:00; from 02:00 to 06:00.

Power outages due to Russian strikes

The day before, Prime Minister Denys Shmygal warned of rolling blackouts in four regions and in Kyiv.

Electricity supply is disrupted almost throughout the country, he noted. There are problems with water supply in 8 regions.

The prime minister repeatedly urged Ukrainians to limit electricity consumption, especially in the evening, for several days, while restoration and repair work is underway.

“If possible, do not turn on the most energy-consuming appliances (electric heaters, boilers, electric stoves, microwave ovens, washing machines, electric kettles, coffee makers, irons). This will reduce the load on our energy system and allow the infrastructure to be restored as quickly as possible,” the prime minister said.

According to power engineers, power supply has been restored to 3,571 settlements in the Poltava, Sumy, Ternopil, Lvov, Kiev and Khmelnytsky regions.
