According to the opposition, Robert Fico has resigned from running the country and is instead worshipping dictators. He needs 76 votes to be impeached, which he does not yet have in parliament.

Article updated with Robert Fico’s opinion.

Since the elections, it has not happened that all opposition MPs have stood side by side at a press conference. In parliament, but also outside it, mainly the three-leaf clover PS, SaS and KDH cooperated together, while Igor Matovič’s Slovakia movement and Jaroslav Naď’s extra-parliamentary Democrats remained on the sidelines.

Today, however, the entire opposition met in the foyer of parliament to jointly announce their efforts to remove Prime Minister Robert Fico and express no confidence in his government.

“Robert Fico has left Slovakia. Instead of being in our homeland and solving the problems that bother people, he is flying around the world, bowing to dictators, enjoying luxury somewhere in Vietnam. He is insulting our neighbors and partners. He has resigned himself to governing, which should take place here in Slovakia,” said the head of the strongest opposition movement, Progressive Slovakia, Michal Šimečka. He appreciated that the entire opposition was able to unite in dismissing Robert Fico.

With him at the press conference were the chairmen of SaS and KDH, Branislav Gröhling and Milan Majerský, the only representative of the Democrats, Ľubomír Galko, and, unusually, representatives of the Slovakia movement. However, Igor Matovič himself did not stand in the front like the rest of the opposition leaders. He stood completely in the background and refused to speak.

Robert Fico: It’s going to be a mess!

Prime Minister Robert Fico also responded to the opposition’s press conference in the early evening. He even suggested a date for the meeting to the opposition. According to him, it should take place on January 21st.

“Robert Fico will go on an official visit to Turkey on Monday. On Tuesday evening, he will travel to the World Economic Forum in Davos and will not return to the territory of the Slovak Republic until Thursday. Under these circumstances, the most appropriate date for an extraordinary meeting of the National Council of the Slovak Republic on the vote of no confidence in the government, which the opposition wants to initiate, is Tuesday, January 21,” wrote the press department of the Government Office of the Slovak Republic.

Fico is a russian mafia asset, so he is not acting for the good of Slovakia, nor for the EU and NATO. He’s acting for the benefit of his master in moskovia. Fortunately, Slovakia is not the fascist sewer like Hungary is, and is willing to oust this corrupt parasite.

  2. It’s very hard to root out the weed if you let it set in in the first place. I doubt fico and orban will lose power anytime soon
