The US Republican Party fears that the adoption of a bill on military assistance to Ukraine will tie the hands of Donald Trump if he is elected president, and in the worst case, could lead to his impeachment. Politico writes about this .
According to journalists, Republican Senator from Ohio James Vance sent a memo to the Republican Party’s office in the Senate, in which he argued that the foreign aid law could tie President Trump’s hands if he then wants to stop funding for Ukraine.
In this note, Vance also notes that Trump could even provoke his impeachment if he tries to stop the supply of weapons to Ukraine, which at that time will already be provided for by law (if the law is passed).
Politico notes that Senator Vance is one of the most consistent opponents of providing military assistance to Ukraine. He is making every effort to disrupt any supplies of American weapons to Kyiv.

I would say that Trump’s idiocy will cost him victory. Should Ukraine lose and even worse horror will go through the news he alone will be blamed and nobody else. Never forget many voters are swing voters, they sometimes vote GOP and sometimes for the Dems. Trump will lose them all.
Indeed. Independents are Independents because they dislike parties. It’s them who decide the outcome of elections, not the voters who already made their minds up.
