Reports about the number of Tomahawks available are always going to be speculation.

There are four countries with Tomahawks: US, UK, Japan, and Australia.
Claiming the U.S. can only provided 20-50 Tomahawks is not only speculative, it counters the whole strategy of deterrence.
There are at least 6,000 Tomahawks globally.
And the U.S. can “backfill” any provided by allies. Thus upgrading the allies to the newest variant.
This type of FIFO policy has been used to upgrade allies on others weapons sent to Ukraine.
Putin should be concerned with much larger numbers than 50, targeting his most valuable military and energy assets.
The US can supply an “undisclosed number of Tomahawks”. Putin should be worried.

The Ukraine Reconstruction Fund should immediately sign a deal with Lockheed to order the new replacement missile for ATACMs. This has 2 to 3 times the range of ATACMs which was (180km to 300km depending on variant).
These have 600km! Lockheed is in full production.
These ideally could be on the battlefield soon.
HIMARS made a huge difference when they appeared on the battlefield summer 2022.
In relatively small numbers of launchers at 50 or so.
Then ATACMs made another huge impact in October 2023.
The PrSM will extend the range of HIMARS to 600km. 370 miles!!
These are so accurate, it will make Russian logistics more and more challenged. All command and control, supply depots, railways, bridges and transportion nodes will be targeted. All large troop formations will be targeted.
Several ports will be targeted.
HIMARS sales to allied nations have boomed since Himars appeared on the battlefield.
With these new extended range missiles Lockheed should see increased sales of both Himars launchers and these PrSM missiles.

How Tomahawks Could Change The War For Ukraine

“President Donald Trump is weighing up sending long-range Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine, a move that Russian President Vladimir Putin has warned would destroy Washington’s relations with Moscow but could make a real difference to Ukraine’s war effort—and send a strong political signal to the Kremlin.”

“Either way, how many missiles Ukraine ends up with should remain murky to dissuade Russia from launching its persistent cruise missile attacks on its neighbor, Dan Rice, a former aide to Ukraine’s commander in chief and the president of American University Kyiv, told Newsweek. Rice has frequently advocated for Ukraine to receive U.S. weapons like Tomahawks.”

  1. Mr Rice was also the first to lobby for the provision of cluster munitions.
Eventually Ukraine got some from Biden.
No idea how many or if any remain, but they are vital if the defenders are going to push the cockroaches back.
Ukraine does not have the momentum until the invader vermin are in full retreat.
Clusters should increase the kill rate.

  2. In a recent post, Robin Horsfall wrote :

“Ukrainian innovation continues to take the advantage. They now have thermite drones that can burn a trenchline, a storage area or even a forest in minutes.”

They need to use it to burn fucking orcs.
