The US considers the so-called “referendums” in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine to be a sham. Russia will in any case manipulate their results. The states will never recognize the annexation of regions of our state. The Biden administration believes that the Ukrainians have every right to take their lands.

Such statements were made by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken in a recent interview with CBS News .

“These so-called ‘elections’ are a sham, period. They come, they put up puppet governments, local authorities. And then they start ‘voting’, which they will manipulate anyway,” Blinken said.

According to the US Secretary of State, the Kremlin will try to declare the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine as part of Russia based on the results of referendums. But this annexation will never be recognized. And “Ukrainians have every right to take away” their lands, that is, to restore the legal borders of the state.

The so-called “vote” for the entry of the occupied Ukrainian lands into Russia started in parts of the Kherson, Zaporozhye, Donetsk and Luhansk regions on September 23. It will last until tomorrow, September 27th.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov used nuclear blackmail to talk about referendums and the annexation of temporarily occupied Ukrainian lands. According to the minister, after the annexation, the nuclear doctrine of the Russian Federation will apply to them.
