According to Kovalenko’s calculations, in less than a week from the start of the offensive, the opponents of the Syrian government took hundreds of military trophies. Among them, in particular, the Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile system, the Strela-10 and Buk-M1 anti-aircraft missile systems, as well as the BM-21 Grad anti-aircraft missile system and tanks of various generations – from the already mentioned T-90A to older T-72M1, T-62 and even T-55.
“Such a failure of the Assadites will go down in the history of modern wars and conflicts as the most shameful. Taking into account the arsenal obtained and the potential that has appeared among the rebels, I think that even if they had some realistic limits of breakthrough, now they will clearly be crossed out and pushed even further south,” Kovalenko believes.
