This is a record increase in military funding for Ukraine.

Today, at a meeting of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine ( “Ramstein-27” ), convened by the United Kingdom and Germany, coalition members pledged to allocate more than 21 billion euros for military assistance to Ukrainian defenders.
As an UNIAN correspondent reports, British Defense Minister John Healy said this at a briefing after the meeting of the Contact Group on Defense Issues in Ukraine (Ramstein-27), which was held at NATO headquarters in Brussels.
“The new commitments to provide military support announced today at the Contact Group total more than 21 billion euros,” Gili stressed.
In particular, as the British minister emphasized, this is a record increase in military funding for Ukraine, and there is also an increase in support for Ukraine’s struggle on the battlefield.
Healy recalled that Britain will spend 4.5 billion pounds on military support for Ukraine this year.
Today he announced £350 million to increase this support for Ukraine’s defenders on the front line. The package includes radar systems, anti-tank mines and hundreds of thousands of new drones.
In addition, funding is being increased by £150m for the repair and maintenance of battlefield equipment. Healy said this is part of a new effort over the coming months to repair 3,000 Ukrainian vehicles that will be returned to the battlefield.
Rammstein meeting – what is known
As UNIAN reported, today, April 11, at the beginning of the meeting in the “Ramstein” format, Gili addressed representatives of those countries that will not make announcements about new commitments to provide additional assistance to Ukraine today.
He urged these countries to look more closely at what they can do to support Ukraine, because “all military assistance now will help Ukraine fight today and help ensure a lasting peace tomorrow.” Heely also stressed that 2025 is a “critical” year for Ukraine .
