Railway bridges collapse in Bryansk and Kursk regions: there are fatalities.

06/1/2025

A road bridge collapsed in the Bryansk region. It happened just as a passenger train was passing under it.

More than 30 people are known to have been injured and seven more have died, according to Russian Telegram channels and local authorities.

Footage, which is being actively shared on social media, shows debris from the bridge that has fallen onto the tracks and a damaged train.

According to the official version, the derailment of a train on a federal highway near the village of Vygonichi in the Bryansk region occurred due to the collapse of a bridge due to interference with transport. However, information is spreading online that one of the main versions is a planned explosion.

Emergency services are on the scene, and the number of injured may increase. The circumstances of the incident are being investigated.

The Russian Ministry of Emergencies stated that 31 people were injured as a result of the emergency in the Bryansk region, 3 of whom died, and 28 were sent to medical facilities.

Later, Bryansk Oblast Governor Oleksandr Bogomaz reported that five more people had sought medical attention. As of 3:45 a.m., he said there were seven dead and 35 injured, including three children.

In the morning, the Bryansk governor announced the bombing of a bridge while a train was moving, which caused an accident. Other Russian officials have already found a “Ukrainian trace.” In particular, Senator Andriy Klishas stated that “the bombing of a bridge and the accident of a passenger train in the Bryansk region indicate that Ukraine is ruled by a terrorist group.”

The network noted that two weeks ago, the overpass where the bridge collapsed was partially blocked. Local authorities organized reverse traffic on it, but did not explain the reasons for this decision.

  1. So, it seems there are two bridges that collapsed last night. One was in Belgorod, which was a road bridge collapsing on a railroad track. The other is in Kursk, and is a railroad bridge that collapsed.
Are they just the typical junk bridges in mafia land that happen to collapse on the same night? Or, did Ukrainian spec ops take them out, as the roaches suspect?
    Both scenarios are welcome.
