Putin’s press secretary says Russian leader wants to achieve his goals by means other than war

Russian Presidential Press Secretary, Dmitry Peskov, has said that Vladimir Putin was open to proposals that would enable the Russian Federation to achieve its goals by means other than the war against Ukraine.

SourceTASS, with reference to Dmitry Peskov’s interview with Pavel Zarubin, a pro-Kremlin Russian journalist

Details: Peskov claimed that Putin was open to any proposals that would allow the Russian Federation to achieve its goals by means other than the war against Ukraine, which Putin continues to call a “special operation”, but that the West had left Russia with no other options but to continue the war.

Peskov also said that France does not appear to be a neutral country in terms of the war in Ukraine, and therefore it is unlikely to be an unbiased intermediary.

Moreover, Peskov claimed that Ukraine has become a tool in the West’s “hybrid war” against the Russian Federation, and said that “trying to settle the conflict with a tool will lead nowhere”.

  1. As usual, Peskov repeats the same BS as he has from the beginning of the invasion. It’s all the fault of the West that russia invaded a peaceful country, and committed 1000s of war crimes. I got news for you Peskov, you reap what you sow. Be prepared for hell and 1000s of dead orcs.

      • I would hope the WH have told russia that any use of nukes will result in devastation for the orcs.

        • Yes, I expect that’s one lingering concept of the Cold War, that putin isn’t willing to push unless he feels like he’s got nothing left to lose. Many stories of fiction about a post-nuclear war describe a world ravaged by dust-storms with waves of radioactive energy, and waning supplies of food or other resources. So whatever few intelligent russians who might be around those with a nuclear “key,” should steer them away using those weapons. Only the most nihilistic fools who want the world to become a literal “hell on earth,” would welcome it, and I thank Ukraine for taking a strong stance against those russians who would prefer using their weapons. Russia struck first in 2014, and then added another worse insult in 2022.

        • That’s what Trump told him and then Trump said Putin told him, you are kidding right? Trump replied, he better believe it. This from his interview last Thursday.

  2. I personally don’t see a problem. If his goal is being totally annihilated, no problem. One bullet. That’s all it will take
