“This means trying to bring Putin back to reality, because he somehow paints a completely different world for himself. He is deformed in the worst sense by his long stay in power, by a dictatorial regime, where he stubbornly does not want to admit that he can be defeated. Hitler went through the same thing. Many other autocratic dictatorial regimes went through the same thing. Therefore, they are trying to bring him back to reality,” Musienko noted.

He noted that first, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov called US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and said that everyone should evacuate from Kyiv because “something terrible is brewing.”

“Secondly, now Putin is writing a letter to Trump and talking about the risks… What is it all about? It’s all about Russia acknowledging its own weakness. If they were convinced of their strength, their capabilities, that they could defend themselves from Ukrainian drones, that they could change the situation on the front, they would not ask Trump for help. This letter from Putin is nothing more than a manifestation of weakness, where he acknowledges his own incompetence and helplessness to control the situation, and asks the United States to influence Ukraine so that we do not strike on Russian territory,” Musienko emphasized.

At the same time, the military noted that these requests are useless, because when Russia continues missile and drone terror, Ukraine needs to defend itself, and Ukrainian long-range strikes are an element of active defense that works perfectly and will continue to work until Russia stops this war.
