When asked about who could become Putin’s successor, the political scientist expressed confidence that it would not be one person, but some collective one.

It will likely be announced that Russian President Vladimir Putin has fallen ill. His duties will be temporarily performed by the collective Security Council.

Political scientist Andrei Piontkovsky expressed this opinion on the air of Radio Liberty , noting that he has been receiving such information in recent days from various sources.

According to him, the entourage of the head of the Kremlin, as a collective body of “sword-bearers”, realized that the war in Ukraine was strategically lost.

“Putin’s presence in power only exacerbates the situation… We need to get rid of him. And this is being done as if carefully. The population must be prepared to admit defeat. And “fell ill” and “temporarily acting” is the first step in this direction. It seemed to me “What is convincing is that we are talking about a collective body. No one dares to become at this moment … no one wants to become a successor, whose share will be the recognition of defeat in the war. This option seems to me very logical and probable,” says Piontkovsky.

At the same time, when asked about who could become Putin’s successor, the political scientist expressed confidence that it would not be one person, but some collective one.

By the way, these Chekists are also supported by the generals, because they are now threatened with reprisal, they can be accused as the perpetrators of the defeat. The Fuhrer and the generals are a classic collision. So it’s better for them to get rid of the Fuhrer too, so as not to follow the path of Pavlov and other Soviet generals after the defeats of the 41st year. And there is a great collective interest in getting rid of Putin,” Piontkovsky said.

Recall, earlier it was reported that after the successful counter-offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,  Putin began to change his position regarding negotiations with Kiev .

As UNIAN previously reported, terrorist Igor Strelkov said that a revolution could start in Russia, during which  Putin would be killed . He believes that the President of the Russian Federation has every chance to repeat the fate of the deposed Russian Emperor Paul I or Slobodan Milosevic, who died in a prison cell in The Hague.

  1. Well, that’s what usually happens in dictatorships, eventually the strongman makes some disastrous mistake that the public will not forgive him for, and then someone else steps up to take his place, riding the attitude of resentment against the predecessor. Unfortunately, a “collective” in control sounds even more like the language of soviet russia, so I feel even more discouraged about their prospects. I find it interesting that they would prefer the language of “sword-bearers,” because this seems like the term borrowed from the Bible, about government deserving respect when it wields power for justice and the pursuit of goodness for its people. Especially when putin tried abusing the atmosphere and faith of church to encourage russians to trust him. I wonder if this abuse of Christian faith and corruption of the russian orthodoxy is continuing, but under some new figurehead.

    • Yet another thing the ruscists are doing like the turd reich did. Abusing, using and destroying the churches and followers of Christianity.

  2. If true I have one question.
    Why make this public?
The best it can lead to is Putin starting another purge so any coup will fail.

  3. “It will likely be announced that Russian President Vladimir Putin has fallen ill.”

Yes, illnesses have a bad habit in mafia land to strike fast and mercilessly. Novichok or polonium pellets work wonders to make things faster. But, falling out of windows or lead injections are also highly useful tools to be rid of certain cretins.

I don’t believe in any coups or assassinations in mafia land. They are all cut from the same pile of shit.

    • I agree with you, even if some hitman is able to assassinate putin, that kill can quite easily be at the order of a mob chief who feels that putin has outlived his usefulness to the russian underworld. Then one criminal goes and replaces the current one. One evil monster traded for a new one.

For them to really change, the russian public themselves need to want real reform as a whole and not be indifferent towards corruption taking over. From what I’ve seen of interviews with conservative news at Epoch Times, and people commenting here, most russian people seem indifferent or even approving of their government’s behavior. I don’t know how many hid their true feelings from fear of reprisals, but at least some russians interviewed on video said they hated what their government was doing in Ukraine. A few said they wanted to do something, but had little power. This is why I believe not all russians are evil, but decent appearances can easily hide evil.

      • I agree that not all Russians are evil creatures, but the majority are. That is the crux of the problem with this shithole.
