According to Dmitriev, there are forces that are trying to disrupt the dialogue between Russia and the United States.

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin’s negotiator Kirill Dmitriev said that some forces are “deliberately distorting Russia’s position.” He made the remarks after a meeting with US President Donald Trump’s special representative Steve Witkoff in Washington. His words are quoted by Russian media.

“The forces interested in maintaining tension are deliberately distorting Russia’s position, trying to thwart any steps towards dialogue with the US… Opponents of rapprochement are afraid that Russia and the US will find common ground and begin to build cooperation,” Dmitriev emphasized.

The politician added that “a real understanding of the Russian Federation’s position opens up new opportunities for interaction with the United States, particularly in the investment and economic sphere.”

According to him, these days, on Putin’s instructions, he is holding meetings in Washington with representatives of the White House.

  1. It appears that Trump is going to use the russian oligarch model to run the US. These little love chats are not about Ukraine, but turning Trump into another Putler.

  2. I hope Trump has some foreign policy advisers that understand the KGB method of using karate during negotiations. They scream about some imaginary interference and then offer yet another empty hand and buy more time.
