Russian occupation forces will continue assaults in the area of Avdiivka, Kupyansk and Marinka, because they are focused on success and do not take losses into account. However, rains and “liquid concrete” – soaked black soil – can stop the enemy.
This opinion was expressed in an exclusive interview with OBOZ.UA by pilot-instructor, reserve colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, military expert Roman Svitan . “This is not the coast, these are not the Azov steppes, this is the Donetsk black soil. If it starts to rain, it will simply be impossible to move there,” he said.
“They will calm down when “the abysses of heaven are opened” (a reference to the biblical book of Genesis, which describes the Flood – Ed.). And until that time they will move, regardless of the losses in manpower and equipment,” the colonel predicted.

In this context, Svitan noted that in these sectors of the front, contract soldiers predominate, rather than mobilized ones, who are characterized by increased motivation.
“This is not mobilization, this is a so-called contract army. These servicemen went to earn money by performing such tasks. Therefore, wave after wave, there will be constant attacks both in the Kupyansk direction and in the Donetsk direction – Marinka and Avdiivka,” the military expert warned.
“But as soon as serious rains begin, everything will calm down. It will be impossible to move through the black soil. 80 centimeters of black soil with water is liquid concrete. This is simply unrealistic,” he concluded.
As OBOZ.UA wrote, soldiers of the Shadow unit involved in the Avdiivka direction showed footage of fields covered with the bodies of liquidated Russian occupiers. The Shadow unit’s drone also recorded several units of enemy armored vehicles burned to the ground by Ukrainian artillery.

“This is not mobilization, this is a so-called contract army. These servicemen went to earn money by performing such tasks. Therefore, wave after wave, there will be constant attacks both in the Kupyansk direction and in the Donetsk direction – Marinka and Avdeevka,”
This is one advantage of having a country where everything is broke, corrupt, missing, and not working. A country that is truly a cesspool. It produces lots of drunk and brainless zombies who see the miseries of war as a way to earn a few dirty rubles.
With all of our material rotting in storage across the country, it’s a sad period in our history that such a country as Ukraine is left waiting for a particular weather to help stop an evil enemy.

Terrible.
Western countries have 3200 Leopard 2, and gave 61 to Ukraine.
US has 5500 MBTs and gave 31 to Ukraine.
They still sleep after 21 months.
“US has 5500 MBTs”
While the U.S. has thousands of M1 tanks in storage, they require a great deal of refurbishment just to get them operational. Tanks already break down like no one’s business. The last thing Ukraine needs is M1s rolling in with 20-year-old parts. Additional, American Abrams feature depleted uranium armor so top secret that the U.S. does not (by law) allow its export to anyone, not even our closest allies. Export variants have tungsten armor, so these surplus tanks will need to be retrofitted and rearmored.
Also, they burn fuel like crazy and require a much higher level of support.
After the 21 months that this war has lasted so far, you’d figure that we, as the numero uno superpower on this planet, could fix up more than 31 tanks. Or? Besides that, we still have a mass of M-60s. They are old, but not as old as some tanks both sides are forced to use. Where there is a will, there is a way. Biden has very little will.
You can’t make this shit up. The two worst cowards in the history of the Western civilization happen to be in power when this terrible war is raging. To send 92 tanks out of 8700 is just mind-blowing.
6230 Bradley’s, of which the US Army only uses 1420. Only 186 given to Ukraine.
ATACMS is currently being replaced by PRSM, so the full inventory should be available to Ukraine, but isn’t sadly.
Indeed, it’s all so sad. Just a bit more courage and determination by certain individuals and this war could already be over.
