After two weeks of war in Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin began repressions against the so-called 5th FSB service (oversees relations with foreign partners). It was she who, on the eve of the invasion, provided him with data on the political situation in Ukraine.
Meduza , a foreign media outlet recognized in the Russian Federation, writes about this , citing sources of its investigative journalists who have been studying the FSB for many years.
“It was the 5th service that was responsible for providing Vladimir Putin with information about political events in Ukraine on the eve of the invasion. And, it seems, after two weeks of the war, Putin finally realized that he was simply misled: the 5th service, fearing to anger the leader, simply supplied him with what he himself wanted to hear,” the publication says.
It is reported that at the moment the leadership of the service – General Beseda and his deputy – have been placed under house arrest. Among the reasons are the misuse of funds allocated for operations, as well as poor intelligence information.

Perhaps this is a somewhat differing topic, but I think you people should read about this guy, Madison Cawthorn. Even though he’s a GOP politician in the United States, I think his entire attitude towards Ukraine has been colored by stories of Yanukovych‘s “business assistance” with hunter biden and Burisma. He probably wasn’t even paying attention during the Euromaidan situation.

Zelensky is wasting the whole country. His job as president is to protect the people, not to declare a ‘holy war’ Ukraine will lose. Zelensky is a catastrophe when it comes to diplomacy. He only plays the ‘hero factor’, never the people factor.
I think I’m probably missing some details about the politics of Zelensky and the other Ukrainian presidents. I’d like to say I knew more, but I’ve lived mostly with my local politics here in America’s west coast. I know that Yanukovych is a corrupt, evil, greedy piece of shit, but that’s about it.
So maybe you’re right, but the defiance he’s showing against putin, a lot of American conservatives and some liberals too, are admiring Zelensky’s position. Especially when he refused the opportunity given to him and his family for a personal evacuation.
Nah, Zelensky is leading the free world now since the traditional leaders are in bed with Hitler. He is also leading Ukraine to victory over the evil empire. I must have missed his declaration of war against Russia, as I remember it, it was Putin that invaded. Go Zelensky!! Slava Ukraini~~!! :))
