The Kremlin refuses to comment further on Zelensky’s proposal for Putin to attend talks in Turkey.

Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Russia is preparing for talks in Istanbul. He did not answer any other questions from journalists on this subject.

“The Kremlin will announce the composition of the Russian delegation at the talks in Istanbul as soon as the president deems it necessary. For now, we are not going to comment on anything else,” the representative replied, according to Russia’s Interfax.

According to him, Europe’s approach to the Ukraine issue is allegedly “aimed at continuing the war and contrasts with the approach of Moscow and Washington.”

“Europe is completely and completely siding with Ukraine and cannot claim a balanced approach in the negotiation process,” he added.

Meanwhile, according to unconfirmed reports from Russian sources, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will lead the Russian delegation at the talks in Istanbul on May 15. The delegation will also include presidential aide Yuri Ushakov.
