Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the spring conscription of Russian citizens for military service from April 1 to July 15. The decree states that 150 thousand people will be conscripted for military service.
According to the new rules, which came into force on January 1, citizens aged 18 to 30 years will be subject to conscription for military service (excluding those who turned 27 years old before the end of 2023, and those who are 28 or 29 years old and who are in reserve, TASS notes ).
The head of the State Duma Defense Committee, Andrei Kartapolov, previously said that “those citizens who [turned] 27 years old in 2023, even on December 31 at 23:59, these citizens become liable for military reserve and are not subject to conscription in 2024.” “Those who are now 28, 29 [years old], they are already in reserve,” Kartapolov said.
The conscription age limits in Russia were changed in 2023 at the proposal of Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu. As part of the military reform, the State Duma also legalized electronic summonses and prohibited “citizens subject to conscription for military service” from leaving Russia from the moment they receive the summons until they appear at the military registration and enlistment office.
Sources of “Verstka” claim that the Russian Ministry of Defense is going to send another 300 thousand people to the war, and therefore a new mobilization is possible.

That’s meat grinder fodder for about 150 days. Maybe even only 75, once the AFU gets enough ammo again. Putin can’t win the war this way, it’s like desperately raising the bets on a lousy hand of cards, even though everybody is aware of the bluff. The only reasonable decision is to cut the losses and get out, no matter how much that hurts. 🤨
Getting out would be the smart thing to do. But, which dictator acted smart once he dug himself into a quagmire? As long as he has meat puppets to burn in the furnace, this war will go on. But not successfully, mind you.
Write this down. Those 150K are going to Belerus, to the border of Poland & Lithuania. Their kidnappings for war in Ukraine are done without publicity. The threat of invading NATO will place Putin in the spotlight for the U.S. election, with each candidate blaming the other. There will be enough fault to go around, many times over.
