Putin Should Be Prisoned for Life, If Not Executed, Says Republican Senator

The Republican senator responded to Trump’s statements about his readiness to negotiate with Putin.

Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin is a war criminal who should be imprisoned for life, if not executed, according to Republican Senator Roger Wicker.

“Trump thinks Putin wants peace. Well, I read a booklet in school called ‘Can You Trust the Russians?’… I think the only thing you can trust the Russians to do is to act in their own interests. But Putin has violated every principle of international law,” he said in response to a question from a CNN reporter .

The chairman of the Armed Services Committee “differed in views” with US President Donald Trump regarding negotiations with Russia.
