The Ministry of Finance of Russia has initiated an increase in the state fee for divorce for Russians almost eight times – from 650 rubles to 5,000 rubles.

Corresponding amendments to the draft tax law have been sent to other departments for approval, reports the Russian news agency RBC.
We are talking about cases when spouses who do not have common minor children divorce by mutual consent, as well as through court. At the same time, the marriage fee will not change and will amount to 350 rubles.
In addition, the Russian Ministry of Finance proposed to increase the fee for state registration of a name change – from 1,600 rubles to 5,000 rubles. It is also planned to increase the fee for issuing a certificate, certificate or other document confirming the level of qualification, or its duplicate in connection with loss – from 1,300 to 2,000 rubles.
Earlier, the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin said that all levels of the Russian government should be involved in solving the task of improving the demographic situation in Russia, and having many children should become one of the key conditions for “the confident development of the state and the moral well-being of society.”
As reported earlier, the Russian Ministry of Finance submitted to the government a package of draft laws on raising taxes for wealthy Russians and businesses, as well as on increasing expenditures and the deficit of the federal budget of the Russian Federation for 2024.
In particular, it is proposed to increase the rates of the main types of direct taxes – the personal income tax (PIT) for Russians with high salaries, the income tax, as well as the mineral extraction tax. These bills have already been approved by the government. The State Duma supported the amendments to the Tax Code on June 20.
Earlier, the Russian government raised the federal budget expenditure forecast for 2024 by 522 billion rubles and lowered the revenue forecast by 2.8 billion rubles. Therefore, the forecast of the deficit of the federal budget of the Russian Federation has been increased to 2.12 trillion rubles (1.1% of GDP) from the previously planned 1.6 trillion rubles (0.9% of GDP).
How much does Russia spend on war?
The Russian government is actively looking for new sources of filling the federal budget due to the increase in spending on the war against Ukraine. The share of military expenditures in Russia’s budget for 2024 may become a record since the last years of the existence of the Soviet Union and for the first time in recent history will exceed expenditures on social programs.
It is planned to allocate 29.3% of all expenditures of the Russian budget, or 10.7 trillion rubles, which is equivalent to 6% of GDP, to the financing of the “national defense” direction. In 2023, expenditures in this direction were planned at the level of 6.4 billion rubles.
At the same time, it is planned to allocate 7.71 trillion rubles or 21.1% of all expenses for “social policy”. This is the lowest share since at least 2011. On average, for 2015-2021, the share of social policy in federal budget expenditures was 28%. Джерело: https://biz.censor.net/n3496741
