Asked whether his August 8 deadline for Putin to agree to a cease-fire still stands, Trump said:
“It will depend on Vladimir Putin. Let’s see what he says. It will depend on him. I am very disappointed.”
At a White House briefing, he was asked whether he had really set a condition that his meeting with Putin would only take place if the Russian president first met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
“Putin will not have to meet with Zelensky before he meets with me,” the US President noted.
He also said that possible new sanctions against Russia depend on the decisions of its leadership. Trump did not rule out that restrictions could be announced as early as Friday.
A decent POTUS could make sure putler wants a ceasefire. This limp-wristed approach will never work. mafia land only respect strength.
And where are the Russian sanctions? Or tariffs? Even the pinguïns must pay 10%………..
