Russian President Vladimir Putin met with three envoys from US President Donald Trump late Thursday to discuss a possible end to the war in Ukraine, Reuters and CNN reported .

The American delegation included Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff, adviser Jared Kushner, and Josh Gruenbaum, recently appointed senior adviser to the US Peace Council. On the Russian side, Putin’s foreign policy aide Yuri Ushakov and special representative Kirill Dmitriev also participated in the talks.

The Kremlin said the meeting lasted about four hours and took place shortly before midnight Moscow time. The talks were described as “substantive, constructive and confidential.”

According to Ushakov, during the conversation, Putin clearly stated: without resolving the territorial issue, there can be no long-term settlement of the war.

“Without resolving the territorial issue according to the formula agreed upon in Anchorage, one should not count on achieving a long-term settlement,” Ushakov said after the negotiations.

Earlier, Steve Witkoff reported that the talks had essentially come down to “one issue” that he said could potentially be resolved. The European official later confirmed that the issue was the territories.

At the same time, Ushakov emphasized that Russia declares interest in a “political-diplomatic” resolution of the war, but until agreements are reached, Moscow will continue hostilities, declaring the “strategic initiative” of the Russian army at the front.

New round in the UAE

Russia has confirmed that a trilateral meeting of representatives of Ukraine, the United States and Russia will be held in the United Arab Emirates. The talks are to take place in Abu Dhabi, and the Russian delegation will be led by the head of the GRU, Admiral Igor Kostyukov.

According to Ushakov, the Russian negotiating team has already received specific instructions from Putin, taking into account the results of the meeting with the American side. Separate bilateral talks between representatives of the United States and Russia have also been announced.

  1. So now Gruenbaum will join Kushner and Witkoff in “negotiations” between the occupiers and the defenders. Quite the coincidence that all 3 are from New York, Jewish and real estate guys? I wonder if any of them have been to Ukraine or know anything about history, geography or foreign policy?

  2. “Without resolving the territorial issue according to the formula agreed upon in Anchorage, one should not count on achieving a long-term settlement,”

Zelensky should be demanding what was agreed in Anchorage. It’s quite obvious it’s not something beneficial to Ukraine.

      • That must be music in the ears of the Ukrainian defenders, proving the ruSSian trash army is unable to take it and all the angry assfucks can do is attack civilian targets allover Ukraine.
