While russian soldiers rape women and children, Putin rapes common sense. In a major interview with russian propagandists, Putin laid out his vision of a peace agreement with Ukraine.
According to Putin, the foundation of any peace agreement is the recognition of occupied Ukrainian territories as russian. Because, in Putin’s view, shared by the overwhelming majority of russians, these are historically russian territories.
The question of historical territorial ownership is extremely delicate. If we look at the borders of European countries, virtually every country has territories that historically belonged to one nation but now belong to another. If we listened to putin and applied his principles of “historical justice,” Europe would have to drown in blood to achieve a supposedly fair redistribution of territories.
It was precisely because of Germany’s historical claims to French territories that World War I turned into a bloody hell. England fought France for more than 100 years over historical territories. Poland has claims against Ukraine over territories that some Poles consider historically Polish.
After World War II, Europe entered a prolonged period of peaceful coexistence for the first time in its history. This became possible because countries agreed to stop pursuing historical territorial claims, accept the borders established at the end of the war, and respect them.
And when Putin now rambles about historical russian territories on Ukrainian soil, the old man in the Kremlin is giving a very clear answer to the question of whether peace between russia and Ukraine is possible.
Anyone with common sense understands that putin and russians consider all Ukrainian land to be historically russian territory.
Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions are not the full restoration of historical russian lands from the perspective of putin and russians. They are merely the beginning of that restoration.
Anyone capable of critical thinking understands that Putin’s words about historical russian lands actually reveal russia’s intention to continue the war until all Ukrainian territory becomes russian.
Because Uzhhorod, Chernivtsi, and Lviv are just as much historical russian land in Putin’s eyes as the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
And when people lull you into believing that we can simply surrender the Donetsk region and peace will follow, I ask you: how is the Zaporizhzhia region any different from Donetsk?
The Zaporizhzhia region, just like Donetsk, has been written into the occupiers’ constitution. Under russian law, the Zaporizhzhia region is currently considered occupied by Ukraine.
So why would Putin stop at Donetsk when, according to his own constitution, his “historical” Zaporizhzhia region remains “occupied”?

Part 2 :
Any agreement that includes guarantees from the United States of America raises one question: how did previous American guarantees turn out?
The US guarantees provided under the Budapest Memorandum ended in expressions of “deep concern.” While russian tanks were approaching Kyiv and Kyiv residents were desperately trying to board trains to escape toward the border, the United States was suffering from deep concern. We can only sympathize with the American officials who had to endure such stress.
President Biden’s guarantees to support Ukraine for as long as it takes ended along with Biden’s presidency. And then the very same people who applauded Zelenskyy in Congress in 2022 bent the knee before presidential candidate Donald Trump and collectively blocked weapons deliveries to Ukraine for six months.
Europe gave the United States unprecedentedly favorable trade conditions in exchange for guarantees of protection against the USSR/russia. But Trump first demanded that Europe increase its defense budgets to purchase American weapons, and then began withdrawing American troops from Europe. Security guarantees for Europe are collapsing right now, before our very eyes.
So when Zelenskyy now talks about some hypothetical peace backed by US guarantees, we must clearly understand that he is describing a fantasy scenario.
In the real world, American guarantees ceased to exist long ago. They are just as real as Santa Claus and healthy food at McDonald’s.
Any agreement with the russians based on American guarantees is not worth Marco Rubio’s oversized shoes or JD Vance’s eyeliner.
I strongly advise the president of Ukraine to think a hundred times before walking into a trap and mistaking wishful thinking for reality.
We all want peace, but peace is not on the negotiating table right now. Instead, sitting across the table from Ukraine are the two biggest liars in the world: Trump and Putin. Neither of them can be trusted with a single penny, let alone the fate of the entire Ukrainian nation.
Taking the promises of people who have already violated every possible agreement at face value is the ultimate degree of infantilism and intellectual deficiency.
Ukraine must never repeat its mistakes and trust American guarantees ever again.

Elon Musk: “We should have some sympathy for the poor Russian conscripts too. Those kids have no choice but to fight and die in drone strikes.”
It sickens me to see Musk turn into a full blown russian propagandist. Those russian “kids” murder civilians, rape women and men, kidnap children, and destroy Ukraine. Most of them have sign a contract to make money.
This false moral equivalence just points out how morally disgusting Musk is.
Earlier, Musk has admitted that he had restricted Starlink access in Ukraine, which lead to the death of Ukrainian civilians.
I really hope that justice will prevail and that Musk will end up in prison for all the crimes he committed.

……………..
Different times, same ignorance.
Arm Ukraine and prolong the war! Why not peace with Putin? Putin has not attacked us, why attack Putin?
People who are making these statements today are the same people who would be welcoming Hitler during the WW2.

Ukraine today finds itself in a similar position to the United Kingdom in 1939 : at war with two savage enemies and its once biggest friend taking an isolationist position.
Britain fought alone for two years. The U.S. was determined to stay out of it. FDR did send some 20 year old military junk to the U.K. He charged us for it too.
He only got involved when the axis powers declared war on him.
It is well known that trumputler wants Zel gone and an election, even though that is clearly impossible in wartime.
Medvedev stated the trumputler view more honestly when he ordered Krasnov to murder Zel.
It would be impossible to run for office without clearly stating your policy on the occupied territories.
In any case a fair election would be almost impossible until a permanent ceasefire is declared.
Zel made a very fair offer : “call a permanent ceasefire and I will stand down and call an election.”
You can’t say fairer than that.
Even then it can only take place in unoccupied areas. Unoccupied Ukraine would then consist of maybe 28-32m people and that’s assuming that at least some of the refugees return.
If Zel decides to step down in wartime it would have to be a temporary coalition govt until an election can be held.
No significant change of policy could be expected until the war ends.
So what do trumputler want to achieve?
Obviously they want some cokksukka on the Yanukovich business model, ie a surrender monkey.
Unless you have military rule, which I would not mind at all, since it would likely to be much more uncompromising to the putler murder gang.
If Field Marshal Montgomery had replaced Churchill’s coalition with military rule in WW2, we might have had a much more aggressive approach to the Nazis.
Does this mean that Putin ill be returning Königsberg to the Germans?
