The dictator said that the Russians always treated prisoners “with dignity.”

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin said that the Russian Federation “has always adhered to international legal documents and conventions” on the treatment of prisoners of war.

Such a cynical statement by the head of the Kremlin came against the backdrop of news about the execution of Ukrainian military personnel by the occupiers on several sectors of the front at once. During a meeting with Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, Putin said that the Russian occupation forces must continue the practice of treating prisoners of war in “strict compliance with certain international legal documents and international conventions.”

At the same time, the dictator stated that the Russians “always acted this way,” and the prisoners were allegedly kept “with dignity.”

  1. Putin: We kill prisoners of war always with dignity, in line with the Russian law. There is only one law in the world, the Russian.
