They Flew Into A War They Never Knew Existed
Ten years after Malaysian Airlines Flight 17 was shot down over Ukraine, the families of victims continue to seek justice. Selene Fredericks, the mother of a victim from the netherlands, hopes for more accountability, asserting, “You have to hope.” The Dutch-led investigation determined that a Buk missile system, provided by the russian military, caused the crash. In 2002, a Dutch court convicted Igor Girkin, Sergei Dubinsky, and Leonid Kharchenko, but many questions remain unanswered.
