The US President is convinced that Putin’s brutality will not force Ukrainians to capitulate.

The President of the United States of America, Joe Biden , says that the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, is in an extremely difficult situation, but is trying to force the Ukrainians to capitulate with his cruelty.

The US President said this at a briefing .

In particular, Biden was asked about the introduction of martial law in the occupied Ukrainian territories by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“I think that Vladimir Putin feels that he is in an extremely difficult position. And, to me, this shows that his only tool available is to mistreat individual Ukrainian citizens in Ukraine in order to try to intimidate them and make them capitulate. They’re not going to do that,” Biden said.

Martial law in the occupied territories of Ukraine

As you know, on October 19, Russian President Vladimir Putin  signed a decree on the introduction of “martial law”  in the occupied territories of Kherson, Zaporozhye, Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

Among other things,  Ukrainian citizens may be illegally involved in digging trenches  and restoring “support systems” destroyed by the invaders.

The Office of the President of Ukraine stated that this does not change anything for Ukraine and called the introduction of martial law in the occupied territories only as a  pseudo-legalization of looting and looting of the property of Ukrainians  before the next “regrouping”.

The Foreign Ministry reacted to Putin’s decree and called the document null and void .
