According to the German Chancellor, the Russian ruler wanted to conquer all of Ukraine and establish a puppet regime.

Russian leader Vladimir Putin suffered a defeat in Ukraine. This opinion was expressed by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in an interview with T-online .

According to him, Putin wanted to conquer all of Ukraine and establish a puppet regime, prevent further rapprochement between Kyiv and the EU and weaken NATO.

“Today NATO has two new members – Sweden and Finland. All are investing heavily in defense capability, and almost all NATO countries are achieving the two percent target. Ukraine is a stable state and on the way to the European Union. It has a strong army, equipped by us, which is heroically defending itself against Putin’s troops. Now it is about creating the basis for a just and sustainable peace,” the politician noted.

He also believes that Ukraine is unlikely to agree to a ceasefire unless it can count on reliable security guarantees:

“A simple ceasefire is far from a sustainable peace. And I repeat: nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine – that is, we are talking with Ukraine, not about Ukraine.”

“I will not send a single German soldier to this war. This discussion is very strange, when now the talk is about Ukraine not being left alone and about us continuing to supply weapons. Now it is more important that everyone sees whether they can do more to further support Ukraine,” the German Chancellor emphasized.
