If Russia still does not agree to a ceasefire, the Europeans will continue preparations for new sanctions, the German government reported.

If the Russian Federation does not agree to a full and unconditional 30-day ceasefire by the end of Monday , the Europeans will continue to prepare for new sanctions against it.
This was stated at a briefing in Berlin by Stefan Cornelius, spokesman for German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Le Figaro writes .
He stressed that the time during which Russia can agree to a 30-day ceasefire with Ukraine will expire at the end of this day in accordance with the conditions announced by Ukraine and its allies in Kyiv on Saturday, May 10.
“If Moscow does not agree to a ‘full and unconditional’ 30-day ceasefire by the end of Monday, the Europeans will continue to ‘prepare’ for new sanctions against Russia,” Cornelius said.

Blah, blah, blah,blah…………
The headline seems confusing. Shouldn’t it read The Kremlin has been given a deadline by Merz? Let’s hope it goes through, and see what Trump does to try and stop it.
