Russian dictator Putin continues to view NATO as weak, in particular due to the position of US President Donald Trump, and may also consider scenarios of provocations against the Alliance to intimidate the West and demonstrate “victories” to a Russian audience.
This was stated on the air of Espresso in the program “Now the Main Thing” by a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and military analyst Oleksandr Musienko.
According to him, the probability of a conventional Russian invasion of NATO countries is currently assessed as low. Such a scenario, if the Kremlin is able to accumulate the necessary forces and means, may not become possible before 2029. At the same time, Musienko emphasized, Russia does not reject other methods of pressure on the Alliance.
“Putin continues to consider NATO weak. First of all, because of the position of the American president. The Russian dictator is still convinced that he will talk to Trump on the terms of Anchorage. When there are problems with the supply of missiles for air defense systems, and the allies doubt whether they will have enough means to repel a Russian attack, this only encourages Putin to take new actions,” the military analyst noted.
According to the expert, the Kremlin may consider a scenario in which it would try to shock NATO, Europe, and the European Union by putting forward its own conditions for ending the war and presenting it as a triumph for the domestic audience.
In addition, Russia may continue to test the Alliance’s readiness to respond by carrying out various provocations.
“Putin needs victories for the television picture. If Russia carries out provocations against NATO, he will present this as evidence of the Alliance’s weakness. This should strengthen his position domestically and divert attention from the lack of success on the front in Ukraine,” Musienko explained.
He added that another goal of such actions by the Kremlin is to intimidate the West.
“Putin believes that in this way he will be able to force the West to make concessions. It is worth remembering that this war began, in particular, with Russia’s December ultimatum to NATO and the US to reduce the Alliance’s military presence to the limits of its 1997 expansion. As far as I know, Moscow has never withdrawn this ultimatum,” the military analyst concluded.
- NATO is working on plans to expand nuclear deterrence in Europe, and one option is to deploy additional American nuclear weapons — perhaps in Poland, Finland, or Lithuania, if the security situation worsens.

The orange idiot in the White House is not only the worst thing to happen to the United States or NATO, but the entire free world. But did Europe finally grow up? Not really, not the way it should’ve. Many pretend that they either live in another part of this globe or that Vlad will be sated with Ukraine.
Now more than ever, Ukraine must not lose this war. This president will not come to the continent’s rescue when the roach army and the Ukrainian one will take the next country, and the next after that … and so on.
If putler does want to try his luck, I hope that Europe will send a few missiles to remind him that’s a game both can play, but I have my doubts.
I often wonder what it’ll take for that to happen.
Europe could nip this in the bud quite quickly. Invade Kaliningrad would certainly not go down well in mafia land, but again, it’s wishful thinking.
The Empire is ready, so are the US Congress and Senate.
