The ruler of Russia sees his role as a messiah in the need to shape the worldview of young Russians.

Russian ruler Vladimir Putin compares himself to Jesus in his struggle to “respect traditions.” Thus, in his speech about the need to teach Russian youth “traditional” values, he used a biblical story. Military and political expert George Grills writes about this in his article for The Times .

He notes that Putin has often presented himself as an unwavering defender of the Christian faith against the “satanic” West.

“But, showing how Putin sees his role, the Russian leader spoke in openly religious terms about the need to shape the worldview of young Russians. Appearing via video link to celebrate the opening of children’s centers near Moscow, Putin began quoting the Bible,” the author notes.

He said Putin has ordered the creation of youth centers across the country, “reminiscent of Soviet-era camps where children were instilled with the values of the Communist Party from an early age.”

“Putin compared his mission of protecting Russian youth from the creeping influence of the West to the efforts of Jesus Christ, who recruited Peter and Andrew, two fishermen, to spread the word of God. “Do you remember how Jesus came to Galilee and saw the fishermen by the Sea of Galilee?” he asked at a meeting of Russian officials: “One was fishing, the other was mending a net. And he said to them: “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men, fishers of men’s souls.” They became his evangelists, his disciples… This was very important at a time when world religions were developing. … But this is no less relevant now, when we must defend our traditional values, our culture, our traditions and our history. This is very important for the future of the country,” the author quotes Putin.

He adds that Putin insisted he did not want to share a purely Christian message and referred to Russia’s four “traditional religions” – Christianity, Islam, Buddhism and Judaism.

“But in a country where 70 percent of Russians identify as Orthodox, Christianity has enjoyed a privileged role and has been co-opted to justify the war in Ukraine,” the article says.

  1. Crazy, a pathological case! In better times, such nutcases were immediately put away in an institution. Nowadays, they’re allowed to ruin whole countries. It’s a mad mad world. 🤯

  2. This verbal excrement is just something to woo Marjorie Taylor Greene with, since that fool thinks the fascist mafia boss is protecting her version of “christianity”.

  3. The revelations are inaccessible to them. These genocidal usurpers are not capable of learning the deep message of a sacred text even if it illuminated their dreams every night. Only the residents of hell whisper in the ears of the Nazis in the Kremlin and inspire them.

Everything they touch is corrupt, everything that comes out of their mouth is a lie. They only flood the earth a little more with their brutal ideological ocean in which freedom and men are drowning.
