Russian dictator Vladimir Putin  has called Ukraine’s offer to stop hitting ships in the Black Sea in exchange for stopping Ukrainian attacks on Russian oil refineries “ridiculous.”

He said this at the Valdai Forum,  Censor.NET reports .

Refusal of the truce at sea

Putin said “no” to the offer to agree to such a truce.

“There are ongoing hostilities in the Black Sea, and we have been striking at military vessels or ships carrying military property, and we have almost never been wrong. But the Kiev authorities have begun striking at our tankers, at other ships carrying our peaceful cargo, cargo of an absolutely peaceful nature. (…) Well, we have begun to respond. About Ukraine’s attacks on refineries

At the same time, Putin acknowledged that the Ukrainian attacks on oil refineries caused significant losses to Russia, approximately 1% of GDP. At the same time, he claimed that after the Russian retaliatory strikes, Ukraine no longer has a steel industry. He did not provide any evidence for this claim.
