Russian dictator Vladimir Putin responded to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s announcement of Tomahawk strikes against the Kremlin and announced the deployment of new weapons. The new announcements were made during a press conference in Dushanbe.

“Zelensky’s threats to strike the Kremlin with Tomahawk missiles are not only blackmail but also show-off,” the Kremlin leader said.

Putin added that in response to this statement, Russia will strengthen its air defense systems.

At the same time, he noted that “the nuclear arms race has already begun” and Russia will respond in kind “if some countries decide to conduct nuclear weapons tests.”

“I think we’ll soon have the opportunity to announce the new weapons we once announced. If not, then not – it would be a shame, because there would be nothing left,” the Russian dictator said.

Putin also shared details of his conversation in Alaska with US President Donald Trump and added that Russia and America know where to go and what to strive for in order to end the war in Ukraine “peacefully.”

The Russian dictator praised the efforts of the head of the White House in ending the war in Gaza.

“Donald is making efforts, working on issues of achieving peace. A prime example is the situation in the Middle East. If everything works out, it is a historic event,” Putin noted.
