The Russian President thinks that there are a number of other issues, which should be agreed with the Ukrainian authority
Russian President Vladimir Putin finds the implementation of the special status of Donbas to be the main condition for holding of Normandy Format talks as well as the solution of a number of issues with the representatives of the Ukrainian authority as Kremlin reported.
Putin underlined that any meeting, including Normandy Format, should lead to the final results and it is necessary to seek the implementation of earlier reached agreements between the sides of the negotiations on Donbas Conflict settlement.
“Current president and then Foreign Ministry of Germany Mr. Steinmeier provided the compromise proposal. We agreed on it, we compromised to provide the implementation of the law on the special status of Donbas on the temporary ground on the voting day and on the permanent ground for the stocktaking and approval of the results by proper OSCE organizations. It should be done finally, it should be processed,” Putin noted.
Moreover, he thinks that there is a number of other issues, which should be agreed with the Ukrainian authority. Putin underlined the amnesty (for the so-called militants of occupied Donbas) as such issue.
Earlier French President Emmanuel Macron stated that the meeting in the Normandy Format relating to the Donbas conflict settlement could be held in the next weeks.

The conditions are laid out in the Minsk II agreement, not the Kremlin version either. Before any special status, a full ceasefire has to be implemented, local elections take place under Ukrainian law, Ukraine has to have full control of the border, only then does Donbas receive any special status. Don’t quote Steinmeier either, he is just another appeaser who sold Ukraine down the river.
Putler is hoping the special status of the Crimea will serve him as a 5th column in Ukraine to prevent her from joining NATO. I think NATO should clearly state that Moldova, Georgia and Ukraine are welcome immediately regardless of their Moskali temporary occupations. You’re right Foccusser, someone should tell Vladolf to his face that the Minsk agreements are numbered for a reason.
