Today’s conversation between US President Donald Trump and Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin did not discuss the timing of a possible ceasefire agreement between Russia and Ukraine.
As Censor.NET reports with reference to Russian media, this was stated by Yuri Ushakov, the Russian dictator’s national security advisor.
“The conversation did not discuss a timeframe for reaching a possible ceasefire agreement between Russia and Ukraine,” he said.
At the same time, Putin and Trump discussed the state of relations between Russia and the United States, speaking out for their “further normalization.”
Also, according to Ushakov, Russia and the United States discussed the issue of prisoner exchange. The Kremlin reported on the discussion of plans for the exchange of citizens according to the 9-for-9 formula.
“Trump sees Russia as one of the most important partners of the United States. Putin and Trump agreed to continue the dialogue on all issues, including Ukraine,” says the dictator’s aide.
He also claims that the leaders of the US and Russia do not rule out holding a personal meeting, but the place and date have not yet been determined.
“The presidents of Russia and the United States addressed each other by name: Donald and Vladimir, and neither of them wanted to be the first to hang up during a telephone conversation,” Ushakov added.
